This Norn dress is inspired by japanese shinto sanctuaries where nature rose to a divine level.

Made of hand dyed cotton crepe, it is wrapped like a kimono, with hand braided leather ropes reminding us of the “shimenawa” (natural ropes decorated with folded paper amulets) at the entrance of those sanctuaries. This amulet is therefore brought to mind on the front of the dress, using its shape and folding system with layered cotton bands. The hand carved “Wunjo” rune of harmony ornaments the end of this frontal decoration
